To Review SPURT.mdb

  1. From the ProjectData\UnitRates folder, open SPURT.mdb.
  2. Open the TypicalSteps table.


    This table contains the configuration of tasks per activity model.

  3. Right-click on one activity type in the Activity Type column and apply a filter for it, following the prompts in the window.
  4. In the ISO Component column, right-click one type and apply a filter for it.
    Note:

    • The typical steps for a PIPE Install Activity model for the  component of PIPE_SPOOL  are defined in the Step Description column.

    • The Step Spread Factor column represents how the standard unit rate will be distributed across the typical steps.

    • The man-hours come from the Unit Rates table in the SPURT.mdb. The unit rates table contains man–hours that are derived from the Page and Nations Estimator’s Piping Man-Hour Manual.

  5. Open the UnitRates table in SPURT.mdb and filter for a component in the Component Type column.
  6. In the UnitRates table, filter on the Activity Type column for the desired type.
  7. Filter on bore size in the UR_BORE_SIZE column. Then analyze how the spread factor is applied.
